The school of Environmental and Chemical Engineering aims to cultivate qualified chemists, biologists, and environmentalists who are innovative and have critical thinking ability. Currently, the school has over 80 staff members, among which 62.5% holds doctoral degree. Over 1800 undergraduate students and 230 graduate students are studying at School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering.
The school also encourages students to do some volunteer work during their school life. Many students are the members of “Green Air Environmental Protection Organization” and are actively engaged in initiating and conducting environment protection. Now, over 4000 members from this organization participated in the various environmental protection volunteer service activities, and more than 200,000 citizens have been directly affected by or have benefited from the activities of the association.
