Located in the centre of Xi’an city: owning a history of 3100 years and having been the ancient capital of 13 Chinese dynasties, Xi’an Polytechnic University enjoys a long history which can be traced back to 1912. As a national key university, the institution has now become a comprehensive university of engineering and science, specializing in textiles, apparel and art design, along with other subjects such as economics, mechanics, management, humanities and so forth.

Xi’an Polytechnic University is a large-scale and high-ranking university with 11 colleges and 2 teaching departments, covering 58 undergraduate programs and 44 postgraduate programs, with over 24,000 students. The garden-like campus contributes to the university’s elegant environment, and the conveniently organized infrastructure creates a pleasant and civilized atmosphere.

International Cooperation and Exchange

Xi’an Polytechnic University is always open to international friends. More than 300 students are currently studying or have finished their dual degree study at Xi’an Polytechnic University and partner universities in the U.S.A. and U.K. More than 500 selected faculty members and students have visited partner universities and more than 400 foreign students have studied at Xi’an Polytechnic University. Frequent official exchange visits strengthen the understanding and communication between Xi’an Polytechnic University and our partner universities and organizations. Each year we have scores of visiting professors from abroad that teach, deliver lectures or conduct research programs. This extensive network with overseas partner universities and organizations, plus the multi-cultural atmosphere appealing to friends of all nations, contributes to our vision to become a global university.
